Growing up, my mom always would put together elaborate terrariums as decoration for our very naturally lit living room, and I was fascinated by the textures and micro environments that lived and breathed in the moss and under the ferns.

Over the past few weeks I’ve recreated that feeling in Blender, even using a custom HDRI I captured of the upstairs of the very small cabin my parents lived in for most of last year while our house was being renovated. I focused on capturing the soft, gentle lighting that created a homey and vibrant atmosphere that captured my attention as a kid. Some assets were pulled from blenderkit, scene setup and lighting are entirely my own.
